Supply chain due diligence act (LkSG): handout on risk analysis published

Aug. 17, 2022

Germany/Europe — Starting next year, the LkSG obliges companies with more than 3,000 employees to report on their human rights and environmental risks in the supply chain and to disclose how they deal with violations of due diligence obligations. Among other things, the law requires companies to identify and prioritize their risks. Now, the Federal Office of Economics and Export Control (BAFA), which is responsible for implementing this law, has presented a handout to help companies implement this risk analysis. The handout summarizes the key requirements for risk analysis and explains how to implement these requirements using examples.

NEXT STEP: Further handouts on specific requirements of the LkSG are to follow.
